Josh Rohrer, longtime general manager of WDAY-TV and vice president of broadcasting for Forum Communications Company, reportedly passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the age of 47. His death has brought sadness to colleagues, friends and members of the Fargo broadcasting community, where he spent more than two decades building his career.

Josh began working at WDAY-TV in 2003 as a sales assistant. Through dedication and years of professional growth, he moved into a sales representative position in 2004, became regional sales manager in 2012 and was promoted to general sales manager in 2014. His journey reflected a long-standing commitment to the station and the broadcasting industry.

In 2018, Josh reached another significant milestone when he became general manager of WDAY-TV and vice president of broadcasting for Forum Communications. These leadership responsibilities placed him at the centre of the organisation’s television operations and its work serving audiences across the region. He remained in those positions until his reported passing.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Josh was a husband and father whose loss is deeply felt by his family. WDAY-TV and Forum Communications have reportedly extended their thoughts and prayers to his wife, daughter and loved ones. Colleagues who worked alongside him over the years are remembering his contribution to the station and the relationships he built throughout his career.

Josh Rohrer’s reported passing marks the end of a broadcasting career that spanned more than twenty years, from his early days in sales to senior leadership. While details about the circumstances of his death and funeral arrangements have not been publicly established, his professional legacy and the memories shared by those who knew him will remain. May his family, friends and colleagues find comfort and strength during this difficult time.
